Two Counties Leisure is a not-for-profit leisure trust which manages leisure facilities on behalf of The Two Counties Trust to realise our vision of “improving schools and communities through leisure”

Vision – Improving schools and communities through leisure

Our centres aim to be leisure and social hubs for the community. Each centre has many ways for you and your family to maintain a healthy, active and fun lifestyle.

You will be welcomed into a value for money, fun and safe environment to help you achieve your goals no matter what they are. We are here to help you be more active, healthier and happier – Two Counties Leisure – where…Together Everyone Achieves More.

We are proud to deliver high quality, locally-focussed services and are committed to their ongoing development.  As a not-for-profit organisation all surpluses are reinvested in support of the objectives we share with The Two Counties Trust and our community partners.

The Two Counties Trust

The Two Counties Trust is a high-performing Multi-Academy Trust established in April 2016.

We consist of like-minded schools that share a passion for working in partnership in order to improve the quality of provision and outcomes for all our learners through focussing on school improvement.

All schools within the Trust welcome the opportunity to be an equal and valued partner and see their success as being measured in the achievement of their own targets and in the achievements of the Trust as a whole. We are committed to enabling each individual school to flourish with a high degree of autonomy whilst at the same time providing a culture of collaboration and mutual support.

Objectives and Purpose

At Two Counties Leisure, our leisure trust status means it is not all about the finances. Our main focus is on the following;

  1. To continually increase sport and leisure participation within schools and the community
  2. To continually improve our services and facilities
  3. To deliver quality services to our customers, staff and students
  4. To support active community clubs ands groups

1914 translation by H. Rackham

“But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure. To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure?”
